Abstract:
(EN) Method for demodulating a sampling signal (HF) from a storage medium, which dispenses with the use of a PLL, and to a device for reading from and/or writing to storage media which uses such a method. Method for demodulating a sampling signal (HF) from a storage medium, the information in the sampling signal (HF) being coded in pulse lengths of an integer multiple of the period (T) of the modulation frequency, has the steps of : - determining (2) the current pulse length (pb1) and/or the current total length (pb2) of two successive pulses, - determining (3) the maximum pulse length (mpb1) which occurs in the sampling signal (HF) and/or the maximum total length (mpb2) of two successive pulses, and - comparing (4, 5) at least two of the values (pb1, pb2 , mpb1, mpb2) determined in order to determine the type of sampling signal or to establish a synchronization bit sequence.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un procédé de démodulation d'un signal d'échantillonnage (HF) en provenance d'un support de stockage qui permet d'éviter l'utilisation d'une boucle à phase asservie, et sur un dispositif de lecture et/ou écriture sur des supports de stockage qui fait appel audit procédé. Le procédé de démodulation d'un signal d'échantillonnage (HF) en provenance d'un support de stockage de l'invention, les informations contenues dans le signal d'échantillonnage (HF) étant codées en longueurs d'impulsions d'un entier multiple de la période (T) de fréquence de modulation, comprend les étapes suivantes: on détermine (2) la longueur d'impulsion actuelle (pb1) et/ou la longueur totale actuelle (pb2) de deux impulsions successives; on détermine (3) la longueur d'impulsion maximale (mpb1) apparaissant dans le signal d'échantillonnage (HF) et/ou la longueur totale maximale (mpb2) de deux impulsions successives; et on compare (4, 5) au moins deux des valeurs (pb1, pb2, mpb1, mpb2) mesurées afin de déterminer le type de signal d'échantillonnage ou d'établir une séquence binaire de synchronisation.
