(EN)A power terminal feed-through incorporates a metallic body through which extend one or more current conducting pins that are hermetically sealed to the metallic body by a glass-to-metal seal. The metallic body includes an annular lip with a protrusion. During welding installation of the power terminal feed-through, the protrusion serves to assist in the welding process, better controlling the location and definition of the weld between the metallic body and a housing, and to focus the welding heat at the protrusion, thereby protecting the glass-to-metal seal. The glass-to-metal seal can be a single glass insert through which the current conducting pins extend, thereby reducing the pin circle diameter and the overall size of the power terminal feed-through.
(FR)Traversée de borne d'alimentation électrique à corps métallique à travers lequel s'étendent une ou plusieurs broches conductrices jointes hermétiquement au corps par un joint verre-métal. Le corps comprend un anneau annulaire à protubérance. Durant l'installation par soudure de cette traversée, la protubérance contribue à l'opération, permettant de mieux contrôler la localisation et la définition de la soudure entre le corps et un boîtier, et de concentrer la chaleur de soudage sur cette protubérance, c'est-à-dire de protéger le joint considéré, lequel peut être une insertion de verre unique à travers laquelle s'étendent les broches, d'où une réduction du diamètre de broche et de la taille globale de la traversée.
