Abstract:
(EN) A contactless potentiometer is described wherein the conductive (34) and resistive (36) traces of the potentiometer are contained within a sealed channel formed of non-conductive material. The electrical gap between the conductive (34) and resistive (36) traces is bridged by a magnetically reactive contactless tap (46). A magnetic force is applied to the tap (46) through the surface of the channel holding the conductive (34) and resistive (36) traces. This provides a drawing magnetic force to the tap which pulls the tap against the traces and allows for changing the resistance of the potentiometer by laterally moving the tap along the traces as the tap moves to follow the motion of the external force.
(FR) L'invention concerne un potentiomètre exempt de contact, les traces conductrices et résistantes de celui-ci étant renfermées dans un canal sellé formé de matériau non conducteur. L'intervalle électrique entre les traces conductrices et résistantes est ponté au moyen d'un branchement exempt de contact réactif sur le plan magnétique. Une force magnétique est appliquée sur le branchement par le biais de la surface du canal supportant les traces conductrices et résistantes, fournissant ainsi une force magnétique de prélèvement au branchement, laquelle tire le branchement contre les traces et permet de changer la résistance du potentiomètre par déplacement latéral du branchement le long des traces pendant que celui-ci se déplace pour suivre le mouvement de la force externe.
