Abstract:
(EN) The invention concerns a method (400) and system (100) for bandwidth extension of voice for improving the quality of voice in a communication system. The method can include the steps of receiving (412) an unknown voice signal (105), identifying (414) the voice bandwidth (625) of the received unknown voice signal and establishing (418) a region of support (636) in view of the spectral content of the received voice signal. The method can further include the step of selecting (428) a combination of mapping databases (210, 212, 214) from a plurality of mapping databases. Each mapping database can be associated with a predetermined bandwidth extension range for extending the voice bandwidth.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé (400) et un système (100) d'extension de largeur de bande vocale pour améliorer la qualité de la voix dans un système de communication. Ce procédé consiste à recevoir (412) un signal vocal inconnu (105), à identifier (414) la largeur de bande vocale (625) de ce signal vocal inconnu et à établir (418) une zone de support (636) pour le contenu spectral du signal vocal reçu. Ledit procédé peut également comprendre la sélection (428) d'une combinaison de bases de données de mappage (210, 212, 214) à partir d'une pluralité de bases de données de mappage. Chaque base de données de mappage peut être associée à une plage d'extension de largeur de bande prédéfinie pour étendre la largeur de bande vocale.
