Abstract:
(EN) An exhaust valve assembly includes a valve body supported on a shaft for rotation within an exhaust component. The shaft is coupled to a solenoid with a linkage assembly. A controller controls the solenoid to rotate the shaft via the linkage assembly. The solenoid includes a plunger that moves between an actuation position and a release position. The controller utilizes pulse width modulation to control actuation and release of the plunger. This significantly reduces operational noises generated as the solenoid is moved between the actuation position and the release position.
(FR) Selon cette invention, un ensemble soupape d'échappement comprend un corps de soupape soutenu sur un arbre pour rotation dans une composante d'échappement. L'arbre est couplé à un solénoïde avec un ensemble de liaison. Une unité de commande commande le solénoïde afin qu'il fasse tourner l'arbre par l'intermédiaire de l'ensemble de liaison. Le solénoïde comprend un piston qui se déplace entre une position d'actionnement et une position de libération. L'unité de commande met en oeuvre une modulation d'impulsions en durée pour commander l'actionnement et la libération du piston. Ceci permet de diminuer de façon significative les bruits de fonctionnement générés lorsque le solénoïde est déplacé entre la position d'actionnement et la position de libération.
