Abstract:
(EN) A two-step catalyst preparation method is disclosed. First, a support is combined with an indenoindolyl Group 3-10 metal complex and a first activator comprising an alkyl alumoxane to give a supported complex. The supported complex is subsequently combined with a second activator comprising an ionic borate to produce a borate-treated supported complex. Activating indenoindolyl metal complexes in this sequence surprisingly provides an exceptional activity boost compared with other ways of activating them with either or both types of activators.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un catalyseur en deux étapes. Tout d'abord un support est combiné avec un complexe indénoindolyle d'un métal du Groupe 3-10 et un premier activateur comprenant un alumoxane d'alkyle afin d'obtenir un complexe supporté. Le complexe supporté est ensuite combiné avec un second activateur comprenant un borate ionique pour obtenir un complexe supporté traité au borate. Il est surprenant de constater que l'activation de complexes indénoindolyles de métaux de cette séquence permet une augmentation exceptionnelle de l'activité par rapport aux autres voies d'activation de ces complexes avec l'un et/ou l'autre des deux types d'activateurs.
