Abstract:
(EN) A photocatalyst nanocomposite which can be used to destroying biological agents includes a carbon nanotube core, and a photocatalyst coating layer covalently or ionically bound to a surface of the nanotube core. The coating layer has a nanoscale thickness. A method of forming photo catalytic nanocomposites includes the steps of providing a plurality of dispersed carbon nanotubes, chemically oxidizing the nanotubes under conditions to produce surface functionalized nanotubes to provide C and O including groups thereon which form ionic or covalent bonds to metal oxides, and processing a metal oxide photocatalyst solgel precursor in the presence of the nanotubes, wherein a nanoscale metal oxide photocatalyst layer becomes covalently or ionically bound to the nanotubes.
(FR) L'invention concerne un nanocomposite photocatalytique pouvant être utilisé pour détruire des agents biologiques et comprenant un coeur à nanotubes en carbone ainsi qu'une couche de revêtement photocatalytique liée de manière covalente ou ionique à une surface du coeur à nanotubes. La couche de revêtement présente une épaisseur d'échelle nanométrique. Un procédé de formation de nanocomposite photocatalytique comprend les étapes consistant à produire une pluralité de nanotubes en carbone dispersés, à oxyder chimiquement les nanotubes dans des conditions permettant de produire des nanotubes fonctionnalisés en surface afin de former sur ceux-ci des groupes contenant C et O lesquels forment des liaisons ioniques ou covalentes avec des oxydes métalliques, et à traiter un précurseur sol-gel photocatalytique à oxyde métallique en la présence des nanotubes, de sorte qu'une couche photocatalytique à oxyde métallique d'échelle nanométrique devient liée de manière covalente ou ionique aux nanotubes.
