Abstract:
(EN) In accordance with the invention, an illumination device comprises a substrate (103) having a surface and a cavity in the surface. At least one light emitting diode (“LED”) is mounted within the cavity (104), and a monolayer comprising phosphor particles overlies the LED. The phosphor monolayer (106) is adhered to the LED by a monolayer of transparent adhesive material (105). An optional optical thick layer of transparent material overlies the phosphor monolayer to encapsulate the LED and optionally to form a lens. Methods and apparatus for efficiently making the devices are disclosed.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'éclairage comprenant un substrat (103) dont une surface renferme une cavité. Une diode électroluminescente (“LED”) au moins est montée dans cette cavité (104) et une monocouche composée de particules de phosphore recouvre la LED. L'adhésion de la monocouche de phosphore (106) à la LED est assurée par une monocouche de matériau adhésif transparent (105). Une couche optique épaisse facultative en matériau transparent peut recouvrir la monocouche de phosphore, afin d'encapsuler la LED et, éventuellement, de former une lentille. L'invention propose également des procédés et un appareil permettant de produire efficacement les dispositifs.
