(EN)A liquid crystal display panel (11R) is provided with, from a light source side, a MLA substrate (31) having a microlens array (37), an opposed substrate (32) having transparent common electrodes (41) formed thereon, a liquid crystal layer (33), and a TFT substrate (34) having transparent pixel electrodes associated with each pixel. The microlens array focuses the incident light onto the corresponding pixel electrodes. A light source side surface of the opposed substrate is provided with a retardation compensation layer (39). Since the light passes through the retardation compensation layer and the liquid crystal layer at the same angle even if the light diffracts and diffuses on the microlens array, leakage of light is prevented.
(FR)L'invention concerne un écran d'affichage à cristaux liquides (11R) comprenant, du côté source de lumière, un substrat MLA (31) avec un réseau microlenticulaire (37), un substrat opposé (32) pourvu d'électrodes transparentes communes (41), une couche (33) de cristaux liquides, et un substrat TFT (34) pourvu d'électrodes de pixel transparentes associées à chaque pixel. Le réseau microlenticulaire focalise la lumière incidente sur les électrodes de pixel correspondantes. Une surface du côté de la source de lumière du substrat opposé comprend une couche (39) de compensation de retard. Le passage de la lumière par la couche de compensantion de retard et la couche de cristaux liquides au niveau du même angle, y compris si la lumière est diffractée et diffusée sur le réseau microlenticulaire, permet d'éviter une fuite de lumière.
