Abstract:
(EN) Provided is a transmissive liquid crystal display device, which has a high contrast ratio over a wide operation range in IPS mode and displays an excellent image even when viewed from a diagonal direction. In the transmissive liquid crystal display device, the both sides of a liquid crystal cell driven in IPS mode are provided with a retardation film (3), having an Nz3 value of 0 to 0.35 and an in-plane phase difference of 60 to 450nm, and a retardation film (4), having an Nz4 value of 0.8 to 1.2 and an in-plane phase difference of 60-450nm, respectively. On at least one plane, which is of a polarizing plate stacked on the retardation film and on the side of the liquid crystal cell, a transparent protection film (1-2) having an in-plane phase difference of 0 to 5nm and a phase difference of -20 to 20nm in the thickness direction is arranged.
(FR) L’invention concerne un dispositif d’affichage à cristaux liquides transmissifs, ayant un rapport de contraste élevé sur une vaste plage d’exploitation en mode IPS et affichant une image d'excellente qualité même lorsque l’on regarde dans le sens de la diagonale. Dans le dispositif d’affichage à cristaux liquides transmissifs, les deux côtés de la cellule à cristaux liquides excitée en mode IPS sont munis d’un film de temporisation (3), ayant une valeur Nz3 de 0 à 0,35 et une différence de phase dans le plan comprise entre 60 et 450nm, et d'un film de temporisation (4), ayant une valeur Nz4 comprise entre 0,8 et 1,2 et une différence de phase dans le plan comprise entre 60 et 450nm, respectivement. Sur au moins un plan, correspondant à une plaque de polarisation empilée sur le film de temporisation et du côté de la cellule à cristaux liquides, on trouve un film de protection transparent (1-2) ayant une différence de phase dans le plan comprise entre 0 et 5nm et une différence de phase allant de -20 à 20nm dans le sens de l’épaisseur.
(JA)  本発明は、IPSモードで動作する広範囲にわたり高いコントラスト比を有し、斜め方向からも優れた画像表示が可能な透過型液晶表示装置を提供する。  本発明の透過型液晶表示装置は、IPSモードにて駆動される液晶セルの両側に、Nz3値が0~0.35で面内位相差が60~450nmである位相差フィルム(3)と、Nz4値が0.8~1.2で面内位相差が60~450nmである位相差フィルム(4)が各々配置され、該位相差フィルムに積層される偏光板の液晶セル側の少なくとも一方の面に面内位相差が0~5nmで厚み方向位相差が-20~20nmの透明保護フィルム(1-2)が配置されることを特徴とする。
