Abstract:
(EN) A system and method to model and analyze the mixing energies of high-yielding non- Newtonian fluids to prevent chemical lost circulation is disclosed. Laboratory tests are preformed under varying conditions from which data on the mixing energies needed to optimize the use of high-yielding non-Newtonian fluids to prevent lost circulation is obtained. This data is then applied to a non-linear mathematical modeling system that is capable of scaling the data to give a dimensionless value. This value can be combined with historic information to predict optimal flow rates and mixtures to prevent chemical lost circulation. This data may be verified by means of simulation, lab testing, or application to a full-size well.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système et un procédé destinés à la modélisation et à l'analyse des énergies de mélange de fluides non newtoniens à rendement élevé pour éviter une perte de circulation. Dans la présente invention, des essais sont réalisés en laboratoire dans diverses conditions. Ces essais permettent d'obtenir des données sur les énergies de mélange nécessaires pour optimiser l'utilisation de fluides non newtoniens à rendement élevé afin d'éviter une perte de circulation. Ces données sont ensuite appliquées à un système de modélisation mathématique non linéaire capable de réduire les données et de fournir une valeur sans dimension. Cette valeur peut être combinée à des informations historiques pour prévoir les débits et les mélanges optimaux nécessaires afin d'éviter une perte de circulation. Ces données peuvent être vérifiées par simulation, par essais en laboratoire ou par application à un puits grandeur nature.
