Abstract:
(EN) The invention concerns a polymer dispersion free of water and volatile organic solvent for preparing a lubricating composition for glass yarns and for finishing glass yarns and assembling said glass yarns, in particular for grids and fabrics. The dispersion comprises the product of polymerization of a vinyl monomer in the presence of a free radical initiator in a reactive organic dispersion medium. The dispersion contains 20 to 70 wt. % of polymer in the form of substantially spherical fine particles of size less than 40 $g(m)m. It is stable in usual storage conditions.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une dispersion de polymère exempte d'eau et de solvant organique volatil destinée à la réalisation de compositions d'ensimage pour fils de verre et d'apprêt pour fils de verre et assemblages de tels fils, notamment de grilles ou de tissus. La dispersion comprend le produit de polymérisation d'au moins un monomère vinylique en présence d'un amorceur radicalaire dans un milieu de dispersion organique réactif. La dispersion renferme 20 à 70 % en poids de polymère sous forme de fines particules sensiblement sphériques de taille inférieure à 40 µm. Elle est stable dans les conditions habituelles de stockage.
