Abstract:
(EN) A system and method of improvement of coverage in wireless systems with fixed infrastructure based relays wherein the relays are used to relay signals to multi-antenna receivers where the received signals are then processed using MIMO processing. The MIMO processing node performs MIMO processing on signals received from at least two other nodes. In another aspect, spatial multiplexing and/or space time block coding is performed on signals transmitted from the transmitting node to the receiving node.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un système et un procédé permettant d'améliorer la couverture dans des systèmes sans fil dont les relais reposent sur des infrastructures fixes, les relais étant utilisés pour relayer les signaux vers des récepteurs multi-antennes où les signaux reçus sont soumis à un traitement MIMO. Le noeud de traitement MIMO procède à un traitement MIMO sur les signaux reçus en provenance d'au moins deux autres noeuds. Selon un autre aspect, les signaux transmis depuis le noeud d'émission vers le noeud de réception sont soumis à un multiplexage spatial et/ou à un codage de blocs spatio-temporel.
