Abstract:
(EN) According to one embodiment, a host bus adapter (HBA) is disclosed. The HBA includes one or more link layer engines, one or more ports, each of the one or more ports associated with one of the one or more link layer engines and token passing logic having a shift register associated with each of the one or more link layer engines. A first link layer engine enables a first storage device coupled to an associated port to spin-up whenever the first link layer engine detects that a first shift register has a first value.
(FR) Un mode de réalisation de l'invention concerne un adaptateur de bus hôte (HBA). Cet adaptateur HBA comprend un ou plusieurs moteurs de couche liaison, un ou plusieurs ports, chacun de ces ports étant associé à l'un des moteurs de couche liaison, ainsi qu'une logique de passage de jeton présentant un registre à décalage associé à chacun des moteurs de couche liaison. Un premier moteur de couche liaison permet à un premier dispositif de stockage couplé à un port associé d'être mis en rotation lorsque ce premier moteur de couche liaison détecte qu'un premier registre à décalage a une première valeur.
