Abstract:
(EN) A power device is provided in an optically-triggered power system having a controller for generating electrical control signals and a converter for converting the electrical control signals to optical control signals. The power device includes a pair of terminals and a P-body region provided adjacent an N+ source region. An optical window is provided at least partially over the P-body region, and an N- drift region is provided between the two terminals. The P-body region causes current to conduct between the first and second terminal through the N- drift region when an optical control signal is incident on the optical window.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif d'alimentation dans un système d'alimentation optiquement déclenché possédant un dispositif de commande destiné à générer des signaux de commande électrique et un convertisseur destiné à convertir des signaux de commande électrique en signaux de commande optique. Le dispositif d'alimentation comprend une paire de terminaux et une zone de corps P à proximité d'une zone source N+. Une fenêtre optique est placée au moins partiellement sur la zone de corps P, et une zone de dérive est placée entre les deux terminaux. La zone de corps P entraîne le courant à passer entre le premier et le second terminal à travers la zone de dérive N- lorsqu'un signal de commande optique est incident sur la fenêtre optique.
