Abstract:
(EN) A system for treating tissue using electrical energy, and having a flexible sheath, and a body extending between the proximal and the distal ends, where the body is sized such that it can be placed within a blood vessel, and has a length such that when placed within the blood vessel, the proximal end is outside a patient's body and the distal end is adjacent the tissue region; and an array of electrodes slidably disposed within a lumen of the sheath; where the sheath further has a sharp distal tip for puncturing a vessel.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de traitement de tissus par l'énergie électrique, ce système comportant une gaine flexible et un corps s'étendant entre les extrémités proximale et distale. Les dimensions du corps permettent de placer celui-ci dans un vaisseau sanguin, la longueur du corps permettant, lorsque celui-ci est placé dans le vaisseau sanguin, que l'extrémité proximale se trouve à l'extérieur du corps du patient et que l'extrémité distale soit adjacente à la région tissulaire. Le système comprend également une matrice d'électrodes placée coulissante dans un lumen de la gaine, la gaine comportant une extrémité distale pointue pour perforer un vaisseau.
