Abstract:
(EN) A system for applying a polymer (hydrogel) to the inner surface of a vessel by photopolymerization includes a catheter (110) having a first inflatable member and a guidewire (140) having a second inflatable member. The catheter has an extended tip (112) distal to the first inflatable member that includes multiple perfusion ports (115) . A light emission coil is disposed on the extended tip with individual coil loops interspaced with the perfusion ports. In a method, the guidewire is delivered to a treatment site within a vessel . The catheter is delivered to the treatment site over the guidewire. The inflatable members are inflated to form an enclosed treatment space within the vessel. A photoinitiator is delivered to the enclosed treatment space. Excess photoinitiator is flushed from the treatment space, and a prepolymer is delivered. The prepolymer is cured by light delivered by the light emission coil .
(FR) L’invention concerne un système d’application d’un polymère (hydrogel) à la surface interne d’un vaisseau par photopolymérisation comprenant un cathéter (110) ayant un premier élément gonflable et un fil de guidage (140) ayant un second élément gonflable. Le cathéter possède une pointe étendue (112) distale du premier élément gonflable qui comprend de multiples orifices de perfusion (115). Une bobine luminescente est disposée sur la pointe étendue avec des boucles de bobines individuelles séparées par les orifices de perfusion. Selon un procédé, le fil de guidage est acheminé jusqu’à un site de traitement dans un vaisseau. Le cathéter est acheminé jusqu’au site de traitement par le biais du fil de guidage. Les éléments gonflables sont alors gonflés pour constituer un espace de traitement confiné dans le vaisseau. Un photoinitiateur est injecté dans l’espace de traitement confiné. On purge le surplus de photoinitiateur de l’espace de traitement et un prépolymère est injecté. Le prépolymère est vulcanisé par la lumière fournie par la bobine luminescente.
