Abstract:
(EN) Methods of treating somatosensory disorders and modulating production of proinflammatory cytokines by administering to a subject an effective amount of a COMT modulator, ADRB2 modulator, ADRB3 modulator or combinations thereof are provided. Methods of predicting effective pharmacological therapies for a subject afflicted with a somatosensory disorder by determining a genotype of the subject with regard to a gene selected from the group consisting of COMT, ADRB2, ADRB3, and combinations thereof are further provided. Methods of determining pain responses or pain perception and predicting susceptibility of a subject to develop related disorders, such as somatosensory disorders and somatization, by determining a genotype of the subject with regard to a gene selected from the group consisting of COMT, ADRB2, ADRB3, and combinations thereof are further provided.
(FR) L'invention concerne des méthodes de traitement de troubles somatosensoriels et de modulation de la production de cytokines proinflammatoires, ce procédé consistant à administrer à un sujet une quantité efficace d'un modulateur COMT, d'un modulateur ADRB2, d'un modulateur ADRB3 ou des combinaisons de ceux-ci. L'invention porte également sur des méthodes de prédiction de traitements pharmacologiques efficaces appliqués à un sujet souffrant d'un trouble somatosensoriel, ces méthodes consistant à déterminer un génotype du sujet par rapport à un gène sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant COMT, ADRB2, ADRB3 et des combinaisons de ceux-ci. L'invention porte également sur des méthodes de détermination des réponses à la douleur ou de la perception de la douleur, et sur des méthodes de prédiction de la sensibilité du sujet à développer des troubles apparentés tels que des troubles somatosensoriels et la somatisation en déterminant un génotype du sujet par rapport à un gène sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant COMT, ADRB2, ADRB3 et des combinaisons de ceux-ci.
