Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a computer program for assisting analysis of biological data, the software being adapted to receive biological data indicating two or more sequences, and the software comprising: a comparison module for conducting an alignment between two or more sequences to determine regions of similarity, a phylogenetic tree constructor for constructing a phylogenetic tree from sequence data, a first visualisation tool for displaying sequences and alignments between sequences, and a second visualisation tool for providing a graphical representation of a phylogenetic tree based on output from the tree constructor, wherein the biological sequence data can comprise one or more of whole genome data, nucleotide sequence data and protein sequence data.
(FR) Cette invention se rapporte à un programme informatique d'aide à l'analyse des données biologiques, ce logiciel étant conçu pour recevoir des données biologiques indiquant au moins deux séquences. Le logiciel comprend: un module de comparaison permettant de réaliser un alignement entre au moins deux séquences afin d'identifier des zones de similitude entre ces dernières, un constructeur d'arbre phylogénétique permettant de construire un arbre phylogénétique à partir des données de séquence, un premier outil de visualisation permettant d'afficher les séquences et les alignements entre séquences, et un second outil de visualisation permettant de produire une représentation graphique d'un arbre phylogénétique à partir de la sortie du constructeur d'arbre, les données de séquences biologiques pouvant comprendre un ou plusieurs des types de données suivants: données de génome entier, données de séquences nucléotidiques, et données de séquences protéiques.
