Abstract:
(EN) A honeycomb structure body (10) where honeycomb units (11) having through-holes (12) are joined at their outer surfaces (13) with seal material layers (14) in between, the outer surfaces (13) having no openings of the through-holes (12). The honeycomb units (11) contain at least inorganic particles, and inorganic fibers and/or whiskers. The area of a cross-section of a honeycomb unit (11) perpendicular to the through-holes (12) is in a range of 5 - 50 cm2, and the surface roughness Rz of the outer surfaces (13) is in a range of 5 - 50 μm. In the honeycomb structure body (10), thermal stress and vibration applied to the individual honeycomb units (11) can be cushioned by the seal material layers (14) and, at the same time, the honeycomb units (11) are firmly joined to each other. The honeycomb structure body (10) has high strength and surfaces where catalyst components are dispersed are more effectively utilized.
(FR) L’invention porte sur un corps de structure en nid d’abeille (10) dans lequel des unités en nid d’abeille (11) possédant des trous traversants (12) se joignent sur leurs surfaces externes (13) à l’aide de couches de matériau d’étanchéité (14) disposées entre elles, les surfaces externes (13) ne possédant aucune ouverture de trous traversants (12). Les unités en nid d’abeille (11) contiennent au moins des particules inorganiques, des fibres inorganiques et/ou des trichites. La zone d’une section transversale d’une unité en nid d’abeille (11), perpendiculaire aux trous traversants (12), se situe dans une plage comprise entre 5 et 50 cm2, et la rugosité de surface Rz des surfaces externes (13) se situe dans une plage comprise entre 5 et 50 µm. Dans le corps de structure en nid d’abeille (10), la contrainte thermique et les vibrations appliquées sur les unités en nid d’abeille (11) individuelles peuvent être amorties par les couches de matériau d’étanchéité (14) et, en outre, les unités en nid d’abeille (11) sont fermement raccordées les unes aux autres. Le corps de structure en nid d’abeille (10) possède une résistance élevée et les surfaces, sur lesquelles des composants catalyseurs sont dispersés, sont employées plus efficacement.
