Abstract:
(EN) A high melt strength thermoplastic elastomer composition, comprising: (i) at least one linear crystalline polyolefin, having a melting temperature (Tm) of at least 100°C and a Polydispersity Index (PI) of more than 20, determined by means of an isothermal dynamic frequency sweep at 190°C and calculated by means of the equation PI= 100,000/Gc, wherein Gc is expressed in Pascal and represents the crossover modulus (Gc=G'=G') and (ii) at least one thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) or a blend behaving as TPE, wherein the TPE or the blend are compatible with the polyolefin (i), and have a compression set below 50% at ambient temperature after 24h compression (ASTM D395-03, 'Compression Set under constant deflection in air'), wherein the amount of component (i) is in the range of 0.1 to 15 wt % calculated on the whole of (i) and (ii); a premix (iii) useful as a homogeneous melt strain hardening additive for the preparation of this composition; a process for the preparation of shaped polymeric articles thereof, and shaped polymeric articles so prepared.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une composition élastomère thermoplastique possédant une résistance à la fusion élevée, qui comprend : (i) au moins une polyoléfine cristalline linéaire, dont la température de fusion (Tm) est d’au moins 100 °C et l’indice de polydispersité (PI) supérieur à 20, déterminé à l’aide d’un balayage en fréquence dynamique isotherme à 190 °C et calculé grâce à l’équation PI= 100,000/Gc, Gc étant exprimé en pascal et représentant le module de croisement (Gc=G'=G') ; (ii) au moins un élastomère thermoplastique (ETP) ou un mélange se comportant comme un ETP, l’ETP ou le mélange étant compatibles avec la polyoléfine (i), et possédant une compression rémanente inférieure à 50 % à température ambiante au bout de 24h de compression (ASTM D395-03, 'Compression rémanente sous déflexion constante dans l’air'), la quantité du composé (i) se trouvant dans une plage comprise entre 0,1 et 15 wt % calculée sur l’ensemble (i) et (ii) ; un prémélange (iii) servant d’additif de durcissement par fusion homogène lors de la préparation de cette composition ; un procédé de préparation d’articles polymériques profilés correspondants, et d’articles polymériques profilés préparés de cette manière.
