Abstract
(EN) There is provided a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing coloring of an image when a liquid crystal panel is viewed in an oblique direction. An optical filter (4) is arranged on the front-most surface of the liquid crystal panel (11). The optical filter (4) changes transmittance when visible light of a predetermined wavelength range is emitted in an oblique direction than when emitted in the front direction. When a wide color range light source such as an LED is employed as a light source (8) of a backlight unit (12), the entire screen appears reddish and the color temperature tends to be lowered if the liquid crystal panel (11) is viewed in an oblique direction. In this case, by configuring the optical filter (4) so as to selectively attenuate the intensity of the red-based visible light range and increase the intensity of the blue-based visible light range, it is possible to suppress reddish-ness of the screen when viewed in an oblique direction.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un dispositif d’affichage à cristaux liquides capable de supprimer la coloration d’une image lorsqu’un panneau à cristaux liquides est vu depuis une direction oblique. Un filtre optique (4) est disposé sur la surface la plus en avant du panneau à cristaux liquides (11). Le filtre optique (4) modifie le facteur de transmission lorsque de la lumière visible d’une longueur d’onde prédéterminée est émise dans une direction oblique plutôt que dans la direction avant. Lorsqu’une source de lumière à large spectre de couleur comme dans une DEL est employé comme source de lumière (8) d’une unité de rétroéclairage (12), l'ensemble de l'écran semple rougeâtre et la température de couleur tend à être baissée si le panneau à cristaux liquides (11) est vu depuis une direction oblique. Dans ce cas, en configurant le filtre optique (4) de façon à atténuer sélectivement l’intensité du spectre de lumière visible à base de rouge et à augmenter l’intensité du spectre de lumière visible à base de bleu, il est possible de supprimer le caractère rougeâtre de l’écran lorsqu’elle est regardée depuis une direction oblique.
(JA)  液晶パネルを斜めから見たときの画像の着色を抑制できる液晶表示装置を提供する。液晶パネル11の最前面に、所定波長領域の可視光について、正面方向に出射する場合よりも斜め方向に出射する場合の透過率を変化させる光学フィルタ4を配置する。バックライトユニット12の光源8としてLED等の広色域光源が採用される場合、液晶パネル11を斜めから見たときに画面全体が赤みを帯び、かつ、色温度が低下する傾向にある。この場合、赤色系の可視光領域の強度を選択的に減衰させ、かつ、青色系の可視光領域の強度を逆に増幅させるように光学フィルタ4を構成することにより、斜め方向から見たときの画面の赤色化を抑制することができる。
