An electrode material for fuel cell superimposed on the top and/or back of electrolyte membrane (1) as an electrode for fuel cell, which electrode material comprises catalyst particles, the catalyst particles composed of Pt-containing precious metal particles (2) enclosed in porous inorganic material (3), and a proton conducting substance. As the precious metal particles (2) are enclosed in the porous inorganic material (3), elution of Pt into the electrolyte membrane (1) can be avoided and any performance deterioration of the fuel cell attributed to the elution of Pt into the electrolyte membrane (1) can be inhibited.

Le matériau d’électrode de l’invention, destiné à une pile à combustible, est placé sur le dessus et/ou l’arrière de la membrane électrolytique (1), pour former une électrode pour pile à combustible. Ledit matériau d'électrode comprend des particules de catalyseur, lesquelles sont composées de particules de métal précieux contenant du platine (2) incorporées dans un matériau inorganique poreux (3), et une substance conductrice de protons. Les particules de métal précieux (2) étant incorporées dans le matériau inorganique poreux (3), l’élution de platine dans la membrane électrolytique (1) peut être évitée, ce qui empêche toute baisse des performances de la pile à combustible qui résulterait de ladite élution.

 燃料電池用電極材料は、燃料電池用電極として電解質膜1の表面及び/又は裏面に設けられ、Ptを含む貴金属粒子2を多孔性無機材料3により包接することにより形成された触媒粒子とプロトン伝導性物質とを有する。貴金属粒子2は多孔性無機材料3により包接されているので、Ptが電解質膜1に溶出することを防ぎ、Ptが電解質膜1中に溶出することに伴う燃料電池の性能低下を抑制することができる。
