Abstract
(EN) An active matrix display device comprises an array of display pixels provided over a common substrate. Each pixel has a voltage-programmed current source circuit, a drive transistor and a light sensitive device for sensing the display element light output. The light sensitive device provides a current dependent on the display element output, and the light sensitive device and the current source circuit define a feedback control loop which controls the voltage provided to the gate of the drive transistor. This pixel circuit uses a current source circuit to provide a gate voltage to a drive transistor. This enables the current source circuit to operate at low current levels, and therefore under low voltage stress.
(FR) Un dispositif d'affichage à matrice active comprend un réseau de pixels d'affichage prévu sur un substrat commun. Chaque pixel comprend un circuit de source de courant programmé en tension, un transistor pilote et un dispositif photosensible qui détecte la sortie lumineuse de l'élément d'affichage. Le dispositif photosensible produit un courant qui dépend de la sortie de l'élément d'affichage et le dispositif photosensible et le circuit de source de courant définissent une boucle de commande de rétroaction qui commande la tension fournie à la grille du transistor pilote. Ce circuit de pixel utilise un circuit de courant de source pour fournir une tension de grille à un transistor pilote. Ceci permet au circuit de source de courant de fonctionner à des niveaux de courant faible et par conséquent sous une contrainte de tension faible.
