(EN)A method and system of controlling out of order execution pipelines using pipeline skew parameters is disclosed. The pipeline skew parameters track the relative position of a load/store instruction in a load/store pipeline and a simultaneously issued integer instruction in a variable length integer pipeline. The pipeline skew parameters are used to improve data hazard detection, pipeline stalling, and instruction cancellation.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système de contrôle de pipelines d'exécution hors service au moyen de paramètres de désalignement de pipelines. Ces paramètres de désalignement de pipelines suivent la position relative d'une instruction de chargement/stockage dans un pipeline de chargement/stockage et produisent simultanément une instruction d'entier dans un pipeline d'entier de longueur variable. Ces paramètres de désalignement de pipelines sont utilisés pour améliorer de détection de danger du à des données, les arrêts de pipelines et les annulations d'instruction.
