(EN)The subject invention relates to compositions and methods for the preparation of stucco slurry compositions. The compositions and methods involve replacing typically used starches with modified high amylose starches that can be used in the normal wallboard manufacturing process. The compositions and methods provide wallboards having increased core strength and increased paper-to-core bond integrity compared to standard wallboards made from slurries with reduced water levels.
(FR)L'invention concerne des compostions et des procédés de préparation de compositions de pâte liquide de stuc. Ces procédés consistent à remplacer les amidons généralement utilisés par des amidons modifiés à teneur élevée en amylose pouvant être utilisés dans un processus de fabrication normal de panneaux muraux. Les compositions et procédés selon l'invention permettent d'obtenir des panneaux muraux présentant une résistance de noyau accrue et une intégrité de liaison papier-noyau accrue par rapport aux panneaux muraux standard fabriqués à partir de pâtes liquides présentant une teneur en eau réduite.
