Abstract:
(EN) An embodiment of the present invention adopts a modular client and server architecture to accommodate the needs of large broadband service providers (BSP). It will evolve the current monolithic software platform to a modular architecture based on the Open Services Gateway (OSGI) model, which supports a standards-based application service framework. This service framework allows the development, secure distribution, event collection and life cycle management IPTV applications to the client without requiring a software build. Customization of applications would be inherent in the design. BSPs would be provided a mechanism to manage and entitle applications, which are deployed on their networks.
(FR) Dans un mode de réalisation, l'invention adopte un client modulaire et une architecture de serveur afin de répondre au besoin de fournisseurs de service de bande large (BSP). Ceci consiste à faire évoluer la plate-forme logicielle monolithique actuelle vers une architecture modulaire basée sur un modèle de passerelle de services ouverts (OSGI) supportant une structure de service d'application à base standard. Cette structure de service permet de développer des applications IPTV pour le client et de les distribuer de façon sécurisée, d'en effectuer la collection d'événements et la gestion pendant un cycle de durée de vie sans qu'il soit nécessaire de construire de logiciel. La personnalisation de ces applications serait inhérente à leur conception. Les fournisseurs de services de fortes bandes larges (BSP) seraient pourvu d'un mécanisme servant à gérer et désigner les applications déployées sur leurs réseaux.
