Abstract
(EN) A plug-in fibre-optic connector (5) for use in a fluid medium, characterised in that the rear tubular portion (21) of the plug is slidingly urged into the body portion (7) first to compress the plug piston chamber (17) then to enable the optical fluid (19) to be discharged at the end of the centring portion (13) and the front portion (9) of the plug, whereby the front end of the optical fibre (5) is dried and cleared of fluid and foreign particles, whereas the centring portion (55) of the base is driven back by the pressure exerted by the plug in such a way that the end of the optical fibre (5) thereof extending outwards into the centring portion (13) of the plug, in alignment with the fibre (5) of the plug (3), is similarly dried by the compressive effect of the piston chamber (59) thereof.
(FR) Connecteur à libre optique (5) enfichable en milieu fluide, caractérisé en ce que la partie tubulaire arrière (21) de la fiche est poussée avec coulissement dans la partie de corps (7) pour comprimer la chambre de pistons (17) de la fiche, dans un premier temps, et permettre l'éjection du fluide optique (19) à l'extrémité de la partie de centrage (13) et de la partie avant (9) de la fiche pour ressuyer l'extrémité avant de la fibre optique (5) et chasser le fluide et les particules externes, tandis que la partie de centrage (55) de l'embase est reculée sur la pression de la fiche pour ressuyer de même sous la compression de sa chambre à pistons (59) l'extrémité de sa fibre optique (5) qui ressort jusque dans la partie de centrage (13) de la fiche, en étant alignée avec la fibre (5) de la fiche (3) .
