(EN)Chemotherapeutic agents generally accompany by severe side effects to the patients especially by destroying bone marrow cells. In the other hand there is a new trend in fighting cancer by activation of immunosystem. Based on this concept we start to test pleurotus ostreatas mushroom. The present work was designed to isolate and identify anticancer substance accruing in mushroom cultivated on rice straw. The extracted substance had been identified using different spectroscopical technique ( UV, 2D NMR, X-ray Crystallography ) the primary structure was shown to be glucan. Our study showed that mushroom glucan can act as host defense potentiator by increasing maturation, differentiation and proliferation of most cells involved in immunoresponse.
(FR)Les agents chimiothérapeutiques provoquent généralement de graves effets secondaires sur les patients par destruction de cellules de la moelle osseuse. Par ailleurs, l'activation du système immunitaire est la nouvelle tendance pour lutter contre le cancer. Sur la base de ce concept, nous commençons l'analyse du champignon Pleurotus ostreatus. Ce travaille a été réalisé afin d'isoler et d'identifier une substance anticancéreuse accumulée dans les champignons cultivés sur des pailles de riz. La substance extraite a été identifiée au moyen de plusieurs techniques spectroscopiques différentes ( UV, 2D IRM, cristallographie aux rayons X) sa structure primaire étant de glucane. Notre étude a montré que le glutane du champignon peut agir en tant que potentialisateur de défense contre l'hôte par augmentation de la maturation, de la différenciation et de la prolifération de la plupart des cellules impliquées dans immunoréaction.
