A method includes contacting an analyte; a phosphorylatable or dephosphorylatable substrate bound to a quencher; and a sensor that includes at least one fluorescent polymer complexed to one or more metal species; to form a composition; and determining the fluorescence of the composition, if any; wherein when the substrate is phosphorylated, an association occurs between the substrate and the sensor such that fluorescent superquenching occurs between the fluorescent polymer and the quencher.

La présente invention concerne un procédé consistant à prendre un analysat, un substrat phosphorylable ou déphosphorylable lié à un extincteur, et une sonde incluant au moins un polymère fluorescent en complexe avec une ou plusieurs espèces métalliques pour former une composition. Le procédé consiste ensuite à rechercher la fluorescence éventuelle de la composition. En l'occurrence, lorsque le substrat est phosphorylé, il se produit entre le substrat et la sonde une association donnant lieu à une super-extinction de fluorescence entre le polymère fluorescent et l'extincteur.
