A light transmitting body characterized in that an optical fiber (10) having a core (12) of a quartz-based glass having a graded index refractive index distribution, and a cladding (13) formed on the outer surface of the core (12) is used while being bent by a quarter of turn or more with a radius of curvature of 4-10 mm. Consequently, there can be obtained a light transmitting body employing a GI type optical fiber which enables to facilitate wiring in a limited space such as wiring in an apparatus, while improving optical communication band.

Corps émetteur de lumière caractérisé en ce qu’une fibre optique (10) ayant un noyau (12) d’un verre à base de quartz ayant une distribution d’indices de réfraction d’indice classé, et une gaine (13) formée sur la surface extérieure du noyau (12) est utilisée tout en étant pliée d’un quart de tour ou plus avec un rayon de courbure de 4 à 10 mm. En conséquence, on peut obtenir un corps émetteur de lumière employant une fibre optique de type GI qui permet de faciliter le câblage dans un espace limité tel que le câblage dans un appareil, tout en améliorant la bande de communication optique.

 本発明に係る光伝送体は、石英系ガラスからなり、グレーデッドインデックス型の屈折率分布をもつコア(12)と、このコア(12)の外周に形成されたクラッド(13)とを有する光ファイバ(10)を曲率半径4mm以上10mm以下で1/4ターン以上屈曲させて用いることを特徴とする。これにより、機器内配線等の狭い空間内での配線を容易とするとともに光通信帯域を向上させることができるGI型光ファイバを用いた光伝送体を提供する。
