A compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp (11) capable of providing a roughly same appearance as that of general lighting bulbs by efficiently storing a lighting device (17) on the inside of a ferrule (12) to reduce the size of a cover (13) and a lighting apparatus. The ferrule (12) is fitted to one end of the cover (13) and a light emitting tube (14) is supported on the cover (13) at the other end. Electronic parts (60) forming a lighting circuit (59) lighting the light emitting tube (14) are mounted on the substrate (58) of the lighting device (17). The substrate (58) is formed to have such a width dimension that allows the substrate to be inserted into the ferrule (12) and vertically disposed along the direction of the centerline of the ferrule (12) at a position offset from the centerline of the ferrule (12). Large electronic parts (60) among the electronic parts (60) are disposed on the surface of the substrate (58) which is more apart from the ferrule (12) than the other. Since the lighting device (17) is efficiently stored on the inside of the ferrule (12), the size of the cover (13) can be reduced and roughly the same appearance as that of the general lighting bulbs can be provided to the fluorescent lamp.

Lampe fluorescente compacte à lumière mixte (11) permettant d'obtenir une apparence similaire à celle des ampoules généralement répandues du fait que son dispositif éclairant (17) est installé dans une bague (12) pour réduire la taille de l’enveloppe (13) et appareil d'éclairage. La bague (12) est installée dans une extrémité de l’enveloppe (13) et un tube lumineux (14) est fixé à l'autre extrémité de l’enveloppe (13). Les pièces électroniques (60) formant le circuit électrique (59) qui allume le tube lumineux (14) sont montées sur la base (58) du dispositif éclairant (17). La largeur de la base (58) est telle qu'elle peut être insérée dans la bague (12) et disposée parallèlement à l'axe médian de la bague (12), mais décalée par rapport à celui-ci. Les grandes pièces électroniques (60) de l'ensemble de pièces électroniques sont montées sur la surface de la base (58) la plus éloignée de la bague (12). Comme le dispositif éclairant (17) est efficacement installé dans la bague (12), la taille de l’enveloppe (13) peut être réduite et il est ainsi possible de donner à la lampe fluorescente un aspect globalement similaire à celui d'une ampoule classique.

 口金12の内側に点灯装置17を効率よく収納することにより、カバー13を小形化し、一般照明用電球と略同じ外観を得る電球形蛍光ランプ11を提供する。  カバー13の一端側に口金12を取り付け、カバー13の他端側に発光管14を支持する。点灯装置17の基板58に、発光管14を点灯させる点灯回路59を構成する電子部品60を実装する。基板58は、口金12の内側に挿入可能とする幅寸法に形成し、口金12の中心線の方向に沿って縦形に配置するとともに、口金12の中心線に対してオフセットした位置に配置する。基板58の口金12との間隔が広い一面に、電子部品60のうちの大形の電子部品60を配置する。口金12の内側に点灯装置17を効率よく収納することにより、カバー13を小形化し、一般照明用電球と略同じ外観を得る。
