There is provided a periodical polarization inversion structure manufacturing method having a high conversion efficiency and a high manufacturing yield. The method manufactures a periodical polarization inversion structure in a second-order nonlinear optical crystal (31) formed into a single domain. The method includes a step for forming a resist pattern (32) matched with the polarization inversion period on the -Z plane of the second-order nonlinear optical crystal (31), and a step for applying voltage so as to apply an electric field to the second-order nonlinear optical crystal (31) with the -Z plane having the resist pattern (32) as a negative voltage and the +Z plane as a positive voltage. The second-order nonlinear optical crystal (31) contains at least one element as an additive for compensating the defect of the crystal.

La présente invention décrit un procédé de fabrication d’une structure d’inversion périodique de la polarisation ayant une efficacité de conversion élevée et un rendement de fabrication élevé. Le procédé sert à fabriquer une structure d’inversion périodique de la polarisation dans un cristal optique non linéaire de second ordre (31) formé en un seul domaine. Le procédé inclut une étape consistant à former un schéma de résist (32) correspondant à la période d’inversion de la polarisation dans le plan -Z dudit cristal optique (31), et une étape consistant à appliquer une tension de sorte à appliquer un champ électrique audit cristal optique (31), le schéma de résist (32) servant de tension négative pour le plan -Z et le plan +Z servant de tension positive. Ledit cristal optique (31) contient au moins un élément additif servant à compenser le défaut du cristal.

 変換効率が高く、作製歩留まりを向上させた周期分極反転構造の作製方法を提供する。シングルドメイン化された二次非線形光学結晶(31)に周期分極反転構造を作製する作製方法において、二次非線形光学結晶(31)の-Z面に、分極反転周期に一致するレジストパターン(32)を形成する工程と、レジストパターン(32)が作製された-Z面を負の電圧、+Z面を正の電圧として、二次非線形光学結晶(31)に電界が加わるように電圧を印加する工程とを備え、二次非線形光学結晶(31)は、結晶の欠陥を補填する少なくとも1種の元素を添加物として含有している。
