On the assumption that a breakable characteristic of a glass used in a liquid crystal display unit cannot be changed, display contents are permitted to be recognized even when the glass having a pixel electrode inside is partially broken. The flat display unit is provided by configuring data scanning lines and gate terminals for controlling the data scanning lines in matrix in a display screen. The flat display unit is characterized in that each of the data scanning lines and the gate electrodes is divided, a driver IC for controlling the data scanning lines and the gate electrodes is arranged to face the display screen, data writing directions of the driver IC are set opposite to each other for the divided data scanning lines and gate electrodes, and the data scanning lines and the gate electrodes are controlled to be driven by reversing the scanning order frame by frame.

Dans la présente invention, en supposant que la caractéristique fracturable d’un verre utilisé dans une unité d’affichage à cristaux liquides ne peut être modifiée, il est possible de reconnaître le contenu affiché même lorsque le verre contenant une électrode de pixels est partiellement fracturé. L’unité d’affichage plate est obtenue en configurant des lignes de balayage de données et des bornes de portes pour commander les lignes de balayage de données dans une matrice d’un écran d’affichage. L’unité d’affichage plate est caractérisée en ce que chaque ligne de balayage de données et les électrodes de porte est divisée, en ce qu’un circuit intégré de commande des lignes de balayage de données et des électrodes de porte est disposé pour faire face à l’écran d’affichage, en ce que les directions d'écriture de données du circuit imprimé de commande sont placées à l’opposé l’une de l’autre pour les lignes de balayages de données divisées et les électrodes de porte, et en ce que les lignes de balayage de données et les électrodes de porte sont commandées en inversant l'ordre de balayage trame par trame.

 液晶表示ユニットに使用されるガラスが割れるという特性を変えられないことを前提として、内部に画素電極が構成されているガラスが部分的に破損しても、表示内容を認識できるようにする。本発明の表示ユニットは、データ走査線と、該データ走査線を制御するゲート端子とが表示画面内にマトリックス状に構成されてなる平面表示ユニットにおいて、前記データ走査線及びゲート端子をそれぞれ分割し、該データ走査線及びゲート端子を制御するドライバーICを前記表示画面に対向して配置して、かつ、該ドライバーICによるデータ書き込み方向を、分割したものどうし互いに逆に設定され、走査順序をフレームごとに逆転して駆動するよう制御を行うことを特徴とする。
