A new method different from the conventional ones for reducing the number of drive circuits to be used for scanning is provided, relating to a display device provided with a stacked type display panel and a manufacturing method thereof. The display device provided with the stacked type display panel is provided with first and second edge part display panels, which are arranged on both edge parts, and one or a plurality of internal display panels, which are arranged between the first and the second edge part display panels. A scanning electrode terminal of the first edge part display panel is longer than a scanning electrode terminal of the internal display panel and is shorter than a scanning electrode terminal of the second edge part display panel. Terminal planes of the scanning electrode terminals of the first and the second edge part display panels oppose each other. The scanning electrode terminal of the internal display panel is connected with the scanning electrode terminal of the first edge part display panel or the second edge part display panel or other internal display panels. The scanning electrode terminal of the first edge part display panel is connected with the scanning electrode terminal of the second edge part display panel. The scanning electrode terminal of the second edge part display panel is connected with a scan drive circuit.

La présente invention met à disposition un nouveau procédé différent des procédés conventionnels pour réduire le nombre de circuits de commande utilisé pour le balayage, concernant un dispositif d’affichage comportant un panneau d’affichage de type superposé et son procédé de fabrication. Le dispositif d'affichage comportant le panneau d'affichage de type superposé comporte des panneaux d'affichage de premier et second bords, lesquels sont disposés sur chaque bord, et un ou une pluralité de panneaux d’affichage internes, lesquels sont disposés entre les panneaux d'affichage de premier et second bords. La borne d’électrodes de balayage du panneau d’affichage de premier bord est plus longue que la borne d’électrodes de balayage du panneau d'affichage interne et plus courte que la borne d'électrodes de balayage du panneau d'affichage du second bord. Les plans des bornes d’électrodes de balayage des panneaux d'affichage de premier et second bords sont opposés l'un à l'autre. La borne d’électrodes de balayage du panneau d’affichage interne est connectée à la borne d’électrodes de balayage du panneau d’affichage de premier bord ou à celle du panneau d’affichage de second bord ou à celles des autres panneaux d’affichage internes. La borne d'électrodes de balayage du panneau d'affichage de premier bord est connectée à la borne d'électrodes de balayage du panneau d'affichage de second bord. La borne d'électrodes de balayage du panneau d'affichage de second bord est connecté à un circuit de commande de balayage.
