CLAIMS

What is claimed is:
1. A method, comprising:
retrieving a first model representing an object, a user controlling access to the first model;
retrieving a second model representing a product offered by a product provider;
combining, at the request of the user, the first and second models, the combining performed as a first service by a service provider, the first service comprising computing a simulated physical interaction between the object and the product;
generating a representation of the simulated physical interaction; and
presenting the representation to the user.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the representation of the simulated physical interaction is presented to the user graphically.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the product offered is a tangible good.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the product offered is a second service comprising one or more actions taken with respect to the object, and wherein the simulated physical interaction comprises effects of the one or more actions on the object.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the product offered is offered for sale, offered for lease, or offered free of charge.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein the first service is provided to the user free of charge.
7. The method of claim 1, further comprising charging the product provider for a service selected from the group consisting of a combining service, a model storage service, and a model retrieval service.
8. The method of claim 1, further comprising creating the first and second model, wherein the creating is performed by at least one of the group consisting of the service provider, the product provider, and a model provider.
9. The method of claim 1, further comprising storing the first and second model on a nonvolatile storage device under control of the service provider.
10. The method of claim 1, further comprising storing the first model on a non- volatile storage device under control of the user, wherein model data is encrypted, and wherein the key to decrypt the model data is under control of the service provider.
11. The method of claim 1, wherein the object is a physical object owned by the user, a virtual object, or the physical body of the user.
12. The method of claim 1, wherein presenting the representation comprises transmitting data across a communications network.

13. Information carrier media comprising software that can be executed on a processor to cause the processor to:
retrieve a first model representing an object, a user controlling access to the first model;
retrieve a second model representing a product offered by a product provider;
combine, at the request of the user, the first and second models, wherein combining the models is provided as a first service by a service provider, and wherein the first service comprises computing a simulated physical interaction between the object and the product;
generate a representation of the simulated physical interaction; and
present the representation to the user.
14. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the representation of the simulated physical interaction is presented to the user graphically.
15. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the product offered is a tangible good.

16. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the product offered is a second service comprising one or more actions taken with respect to the object, and wherein the simulated physical interaction comprises the effects of the one or more actions on the object.
17. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the product offered is offered for sale, offered for lease, or offered free of charge.
18. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the first service is provided to the user free of charge.
19. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the service provider charges the product provider for the first service.
20. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the software further causes the processor to create the first and second model, and wherein the processor is operated by the service provider.
21. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the software further causes the processor to store the first and second model on a non-volatile storage device operated by the service provider.
22. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the software further causes the processor to store the first model on a non- volatile storage device under control of the user, and wherein model data is encrypted and the key to decrypt the model data is retained by the service provider.
23. The information carrier media of claim 13 , wherein the obj ect is a physical obj ect owned by the user, a virtual object, or a physical body of the user.

24. The information carrier media of claim 13, wherein the software further causes the processor to transmit representation data across a communication networks, the data used to present the representation to the user.
25. A system, comprising:
a server comprising a model processing component; and
a non-volatile storage device that stores a first model and a second model, the non-volatile storage device coupled to the server;
wherein, in response to a user request, the model processing component combines the first and second models to compute an interaction between the first and second models, the combining provided to the user as a first service; and
wherein the model processing component causes a representation of the interaction to be displayed on a computing device operated by the user.
26. The system of claim 25, wherein the model processing component comprises software loaded into memory within the server, wherein the software performs processing of the first and second models.
27. The system of claim 25, further comprising a database stored on the non-volatile storage device, the database comprising the first and second models.
28. The system of claim 25, wherein the first model represents an object selected from the group consisting of a physical object owned by the user, a virtual object, and a physical body of the user.

29. The system of claim 25, wherein the second model represents a tangible good.
30. The system of claim 25, wherein the second model represents a second service comprising one or more actions taken with respect to an object represented by the first model, and wherein the interaction computed comprises the effects of the one or more actions on the object.
31. The system of claim 25, further comprising a simulation center, wherein display equipment at the simulation center presents the representation to the user in a manner that simulates an interaction between the user and the representation.
32. The system of claim 25, further comprising a scanning center, wherein data regarding the dimensions and visual characteristics of the user's body is collected, and wherein the data is used to create of model of the user's body.
