The present disclosure provides a control valve assembly (12, 112, 212) having at least one housing (11, 111, 211) with a first (18, 118, 218) and a second passage (19, 119, 219). First and second valve members (30a, 130a, 30b, 130b) are disposed at least partially within the housing (11, 111, 211), and in series. The first and second valve members (30a, 130a, 30b, 130b) are moveable between a first position to close fluid communications between the first (18, 118, 218) and second passages (19, 119, 219) and a second position to open fluid communications therebetween. The present disclosure further provides a fuel injector (10, 110, 210) having an electronically controlled start of injection valve (20a, 120a, 220a) and an electronically controlled end of injection valve (20b, 120b, 220b) in series with the start of injection valve (20a, 120a, 220a). A method is provided for controlling fluid flow in a fluid passage of a control valve assembly (12, 112, 212). The method includes commanding a change in position of a first electrically actuated valve member (30a, 130a), and commanding the change in position of a second electrically actuated valve member (30b, 130b) prior to resetting the first electrically actuated valve member (30a, 130a).

La présente invention concerne un ensemble de soupape de commande (12, 112, 212) possédant au moins un boîtier (11, 111, 211) avec des premier (18, 118, 218) et second (19, 119, 219) passages. Des premier et second éléments de soupape (30a, 130a, 30b, 130b) sont disposés au moins partiellement à l’intérieur du boîtier (11, 111, 211), et en série. Les premier et second éléments de soupape (30a, 130a, 30b, 130b) sont mobiles entre une première position pour fermer les communications de fluide entre les premier (18, 118, 218) et second (19, 119, 219) passages et une seconde position pour ouvrir les communications de fluide entre ceux-ci. La présente invention concerne en outre un injecteur de carburant (10, 110, 210) ayant un commencement à commande électronique de soupape d’injection (20a, 120a, 220a) et une fin à commande électronique de soupape d’injection (20b, 120b, 220b) en série avec le commencement de soupape d’injection (20a, 120a, 220a).
