Abstract

A method of storing, transporting and using a plurality of surgical devices organized in an instrument case. The method includes the steps of: assembling the plurality of surgical devices in the instrument case; and providing a shipping container including a plurality of walls. The walls define a shipping compartment. The shipping container includes a telescoping handle connected to at least one of the walls, and a set of at least partially recessed wheels connected to at least one of the walls. The method further includes the steps of captivating the instrument case within the shipping compartment; transporting the shipping container from a first location to a second location using the telescoping handle and the at least partially recessed wheels; removing the instrument case from the shipping container; and using at least some of the surgical devices to perform a surgical procedure.

Procédé de stockage, de transport et d'utilisation d'une pluralité de dispositifs chirurgicaux organisés dans une trousse à instruments. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à assembler la pluralité de dispositifs chirurgicaux dans la trousse à instruments ; et à mettre à disposition un conteneur d'expédition comprenant une pluralité de parois. Les parois définissent un compartiment d'expédition. Le conteneur d'expédition comprend une poignée télescopique reliée à au moins une des parois, et un ensemble de roues au moins partiellement encastrées reliées à au moins une des parois. Le procédé comprend en outre les étapes consistant à immobiliser la trousse à instruments à l'intérieur du compartiment d'expédition ; à transporter le conteneur d'expédition d'un premier endroit à un deuxième endroit à l'aide de la poignée télescopique et des roues au moins partiellement encastrées ; à retirer la trousse à instruments du compartiment d'expédition ; et à utiliser au moins certains des dispositifs chirurgicaux pour réaliser une intervention chirurgicale.
