Abstract

A multi-mode target detection system includes a ground penetrating metal detector and a ground penetrating radar detector permitting operation of the system in a variety of target detection modes. The system includes a control section having a selection device for selecting at least two operating modes from the group consisting of a buried land mine detection mode, a through wall detection mode, a perimeter warning mode, a buried cache detection mode and an in-well cache detection mode.

L'invention porte sur un système de détection multimode de cibles comprenant un détecteur de métaux et un détecteur radar sub-superficiels permettant au système de fonctionner dans divers modes de détection de cibles. Le système comprend un contrôleur possédant un sélecteur de modes de fonctionnement tels que: un mode de détection de mines terrestres enterrées, un mode de détection transmural, un mode de détection périmétrique, un mode de détection de caches enterrées et un mode de détection de caches dans le mur.
