CLAIMS
1. Process for dyeing keratin fibres, which comprises :
• the application to the fibres of a composition containing at least one cationic polymer,
• rinsing of the keratin fibres,
• the application of a composition containing at least one anionic coloured polymer, and
• rinsing of the keratin fibres.
2. Process according to Claim 1, in which the cationic polymer is polylysine.
3. Process according to Claim 1, in which the cationic polymer is chosen from polymers comprising a quaternary ammonium group.
4. Process according to Claim 1, in which the cationic polymer is the polymer containing the following unit:

5. Process according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the cationic polymer is present in an aqueous composition in an amount of between 0.01% and 20% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.
6. Process according to Claim 1, in which the anionic coloured polymer comprises an anionic chromophore .
7. Process according to Claim 6, in which the chromophore is substituted with at least one sulfonate, carboxylate, phosphate, phosphonate or sulfate group.
8. Process according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the anionic coloured polymer is present in an aqueous composition in an amount of between 0.01% and 20% and preferably between 0.1% and 5%.

polymer (s) is (are) chosen from:


10. Process according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the composition comprising the cationic polymer (s) contains one or more organic and/or mineral salts.
11. Process according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the composition containing the anionic coloured polymer (s) contains one or more organic and/or mineral salts.
12. Process according to Claim 10 or 11, in which the organic and/or mineral salts are chosen from sodium citrate, sodium chloride, ammonium sulfate, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride.
13. Process according to any one of Claims 10 to 12, in which the amount of salts is between 10"4 and 2 mol/1 and preferably between 10~3 and 1 mol/1.
14. Process according to Claim 13, in which the amount of salts is between 10~2 and 1 mol/1.
15. Process according to any one of Claims 1 to 14, for dyeing dark hair.

Process according to any one of Claims 1 to 15, in which the composition (s) contain (s) solvents, anionic, cationic, nonionic, amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactants or mixtures thereof, anionic, cationic, nonionic, amphoteric or zwitterionic polymers or mixtures thereof, mineral or organic thickeners, antioxidants, penetrants, sequestrants, fragrances, buffers, dispersants, conditioning agents, film- forming agents, ceramides, preserving agents and opacifiers.
17. Process according to any one of Claims 1 to 16, in which the additives present in each of the compositions do not bear charges opposite to the charge of the polymer.
18. Kit for dyeing keratin fibres, comprising a first compartment containing a composition containing one or more cationic polymers as defined in Claims 1 to 5, and a second compartment comprising a composition containing one or more anionic coloured polymers as defined in Claims 1 and 6 to 9.
19. Kit according to Claim 18, in which at least the first compartment contains one or more organic and/or mineral salts.
20. Kit according to either of Claims 18 and 19, in which the compositions are aqueous.
