Disclosed are nutritional compositions for treating rheumatic diseases. The nutritional compositions contain a fat source containing at least one of: 1) at least one omega-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid and 2) at least one omega-6 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid; a carbohydrate source; a protein source; and at least one of a Boswellia extract and a Phlebodium extract. Also disclosed are methods of treating rheumatic diseases and symptoms thereof, involving administering to a subject an effective amount of the aforementioned nutritional composition.

La présente invention a trait à des compositions nutritionnelles pour le traitement de maladies rhumatismales. Les compositions nutritionnelles contiennent une source de matière grasse contenant au moins un parmi: 1) au moins un acide gras polyinsaturé à longue chaîne d'oméga-3; et 2) au moins un acide gras polyinsaturé à longue chaîne d'oméga-6; une source de glucides; une source de protéines; et au moins un extrait de Boswellia et un extrait de Phlebodium. L'invention a également trait à des procédés de traitement de maladies rhumatismales et leurs symptômes comprenant l'administration à un sujet d'une quantité efficace de ladite composition nutritionnelle.
