According to the present invention, electrooptic modulators are configured to form one or more Bragg-grating modulators, which are in turn configured to control and direct light in imaging systems, exposure systems, laser printers, or other types of systems where the control and direction of light forms an integral part of the operation of the system. By way of illustration, and not limitation, a disclosed embodiment relates to an imaging system capable of exposing spots in photoresist or a photoreceptor. Applications may include, but are not limited to, laser printing, laser copiers, or direct laser exposure of photoresist. Additional embodiments are contemplated.

Selon l'invention, des modulateurs électro-optiques sont configurés pour former un ou plusieurs modulateurs de réseau de Bragg qui sont, à leur tour, configurés pour commander et orienter la lumière dans des systèmes d'imagerie, des systèmes d'exposition, des imprimantes laser, ou d'autres types de systèmes, dans lesquels la commande et l'orientation de lumière font partie intégrante du fonctionnement du système. Au moyen de l'éclairage, et sans s'y limiter, un mode de réalisation concerne un système d'imagerie apte à exposer des points dans une résine photosensible ou un photorécepteur. On prévoit, entre autres, des applications dans l'impression laser, les copieurs laser ou l'exposition laser directe d'une résine photosensible. D'autres modes de réalisation supplémentaires font l'objet de cette invention.
