Bei einem Verfahren zum Herstellen einer abgasführenden Vorrichtung, insbesondere einer Fahrzeugabgasreinigungsvorrichtung, wird ein Einleger, zum Beispiel bestehend aus einem Substrat (10) und einer Lagermatte (12), vor dem Klemmen in einem Außengehäuse (14) auf seine spezifische Elastizität hin vermessen. Dazu wird von außen in einer Messstation ein Druck auf den Einleger ausgeübt. Über den aufgebrachten Druck und den Verfahrweg des Messwerkzeugs wird diejenige Verformung des Einlegers bestimmt, mit der dieser im Außengehäuse (14) geklemmt sein sollte. Anschliessend wird der Einleger in einem Aussengehäuse (14) montiert, dessen Innenabmessungen den zuvor ermittelten, gewünschten Aussenabmessungen des Einlegers bei der gewünschten Kompression entsprechen.

Disclosed is a method for producing an exhaust gas conducting device, especially an exhaust gas purifying device for a vehicle. According to said method, an insert which is composed of a substrate (10) and a support mat (12), for example, is tested regarding the specific elasticity thereof before being clamped in an outer housing (14). In order to do so, a pressure is applied to the insert from outside in a test station. The amount of deformation of the insert by which the insert should be clamped in the outer housing (14) is determined via the applied pressure and the displacement path of the measuring tool. The insert is then mounted in an outer housing (14) whose interior dimensions match the previously determined, desired outer dimensions of the insert at the desired compression.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire un dispositif guidant les gaz d'échappement, en particulier un dispositif de purification de gaz d'échappement pour un véhicule. Selon ledit procédé, l'élasticité d'une garniture composée d'un substrat (10) et d'une couche support (12), par exemple, est testée, avant d'être fixée dans un logement extérieur (14). A cet effet, une pression est appliquée sur la garniture à partir de l'extérieur dans une station test. La déformation de la garniture, à laquelle la garniture doit être fixée dans le logement extérieur (14) est déterminée par l'intermédiaire de la pression appliquée et du passage de déplacement de l'outil de mesure. La garniture est ensuite montée dans un logement extérieur (14), dont les dimensions intérieures correspondent aux dimensions extérieures souhaitées, déterminées précédemment, de la garniture à une compression souhaitée.
