Abstract
(EN)
A foamed polymer melt including a thermoplastic polymer or polymer blend; a nucleating agent present in an amount sufficient to form a large number of very small cells, specifically cells having a diameter of no greater than about 150 μm, and chemically inert with respect to the thermoplastic polymer or polymer blend; and a blowing agent present in an amount sufficient to effectuate foaming but less than an amount that would plasticize the polymer composition, and inert with respect to the thermoplastic polymer or polymer blend and the nucleating agent is provided.

L'invention concerne une matière fondue polymère en mousse contenant un mélange polymère thermoplastique ou polymère; un agent de nucléation présent en une quantité suffisante pour former un grand nombre de très petites cellules, spécifiquement des cellules ayant un diamètre non supérieur à environ 150 $g(m)m et inertes chimiquement par rapport au mélange polymère thermoplastique ou polymère; et un agent gonflant présent en une quantité suffisante pour effectuer un moussage mais inférieure à une quantité qui plastifierait la composition polymère, et inerte par rapport au mélange polymère thermoplastique ou polymère ainsi que l'agent de nucléation.
