A recording medium reproducing device wherein power consumption is reduced by stopping disc rotation during a period when data contents are not being read, and furthermore, playability is improved and response to an external key input is improved. A system control section (106) instructs a servo control section (105) to stop rotation of a spindle motor (102) after contents data being reproduced is read by an optical pickup (103). When a residual quantity of data accumulated in a buffer memory (113) becomes a threshold value (n) or less, the spindle motor (102) is forcibly rotated and reading of contents data to be subsequently reproduced is started. The threshold value (n) is calculated by (a) a start up time of the spindle motor (102), (b) a moving time of the optical pickup (103), and (c) a reading speed of data from the buffer memory (113).

L’invention porte sur un dispositif de reproduction de support d’enregistrement où la consommation électrique est réduite en interrompant la rotation du disque pendant la période où les contenus de données ne sont pas lus. En outre, la jouabilité ainsi que la réaction à la saisie d’un code externe sont améliorées. Une section de commande du système (106) instruit une section de servocommande (105) d’interrompre la rotation du moteur à axe (102) une fois les contenus de données à reproduire lus par un capteur optique (103). Lorsque la quantité résiduelle de données accumulées dans la mémoire tampon (113) est inférieure ou égale à une valeur seuil (n), le moteur à axe (102) se met à tourner avec force et la lecture des contenus de données à reproduire est lancée. La valeur seuil (n) est calculée par (a) un temps de lancement du moteur à axe (102), (b) un temps de déplacement du capteur optique (103) et (c) une vitesse de lecture des données issues de la mémoire tampon (113).

 コンテンツデータの読み込みを行わない期間はディスクの回転を止めて消費電力の低減を実現し、更にプレイアビリティの改善や外部キー入力などに対する応答性の改善を図った記録媒体再生装置を提供する。  システム制御部106は、サーボ制御部105に指示して、光ピックアップ103による再生中のコンテンツデータの読み取りが終了した後、スピンドルモータ102の回転を停止し、バッファメモリ113に蓄積されたデータの残量が、(a)スピンドルモータ102の立ち上がり時間、(b)光ピックアップ103の移動時間および(c)バッファメモリ113からのデータの読み出し速度によって計算されるしきい値n以下になった時、スピンドルモータ102を強制回転させ、次に再生するコンテンツデータの読み込みを開始する。
