(EN)Melting plant (10) and relative method for the production of steel, comprising a melting furnace (11) fed laterally with a metal charge conveyed towards the melting furnace (11) by means of a conveyor (12) disposed at least partly inside a tunnel (13) in which the fumes exiting from the melting furnace (11) are made to transit in counter-flow with respect to the metal charge in order to heat it, and discharge members ( 15 ) which discharge the fumes from the tunnel (13) towards the outside environment, possibly after having been treated. The melting plant (10) also comprises diversion means (16), located between the melting furnace (11) and the discharge members (15), able to be selectively activated to convey the fumes directly into the discharge members (15), bypassing the tunnel (13).
(FR)La présente invention a trait à une installation de fusion (10) et un procédé associé pour la production d'acier, comportant un four de fusion (11) alimenté latéralement avec une charge métallique transporté vers le four de fusion (11) au moyen d'un convoyeur (12) disposé au moins en partie à l'intérieur d'un tunnel (13) dans lequel les fumées sortant du four de fusion (11) sont amenées à transiter à contre-courant par rapport à la charge métallique en vue de son réchauffement, et des organes d'évacuation (15) qui évacuent les fumées du tunnel (13) vers l'environnement extérieur, éventuellement après traitement. L'installation de fusion (10) comporte également des moyens de déviation (16), situés entre le four de fusion (11) et les organes d'évacuation (15) capables d'une activation sélective pour transporter les fumées directement dans les organes d'évacuation (15), en contournant le tunnel (13)
