(EN)The present invention is directed towards a process for preparing alpha-hydroxyketones by reacting two aldehydes . The process under consideration operates enzymatically, preferably by use of benzaldehydelyase (BAL) or benzoylformate decarboxylase (BFD) , and makes it possible to obtain the desired compounds at high enantiomeric enrichments. The invention also relates to an appropriately modified whole-cell catalyst and its use in a process for preparing alpha-hydroxyketones.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d’alpha-hydroxycétones par la mise en réaction de deux aldéhydes. Le procédé concerné agit de manière enzymatique, de préférence à l’aide de benzaldéhyde-lyase (BAL) ou de benzoylformate décarboxylase (BFD) et permet d’obtenir les composés souhaités fortement enrichis du point de vue énantiomère. L’invention concerne également un catalyseur à cellules entières et son utilisation dans un procédé de préparation des alpha-hydroxycétones.
