(EN)A system and method are described for recognizing repealed audio material (62) within at least one media stream without prior knowledge of the nature of the repeated material. The system and method are able to create a screening database (68) from the media stream. An unknown sample audio (62) is taken from (he media stream and compared against the screening database (68) to find if there are matching fragments (66) within the media streams by determining if the unknown sample (62) matches any samples in the screening database (68).
(FR)L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de reconnaître un matériel audio répété à l'intérieur d'au moins un flux multimédia sans connaissance préalable de la nature du matériel répété. Le système et le procédé permettent de créer une base de données de criblage à partir du flux ou des flux multimédia. Un fragment audio d'échantillon inconnu est prélevé à partir du flux multimédia et comparé à la base de données de criblage afin de trouver s'il existe des fragments correspondants à l'intérieur des flux multimédia par détermination du fait que l'échantillon inconnu correspond ou non à des échantillons de la base de données de criblage.
