(EN)An in-flight refueling system and method are provided to extend and retract an in-flight refueling device (120) between a stowed position and an extended position relative to a tanker aircraft (110) . The system and method of the present invention provide an induction device (310) configured to extend and retract the in-flight refueling device (120) such that the in-flight refueling system requires less maintenance and may be packaged in a compact, low-profile arrangement so that the in-flight refueling system may be carried by a variety of tanker aircraft in a variety of different configurations.
(FR)L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de ravitaillement en vol permettant de déployer et de replier un dispositif de ravitaillement en vol entre une position repliée et une position déployée par rapport à un avion-citerne. Le système et le procédé selon l'invention concernent un dispositif à induction conçu pour déployer et replier le dispositif de ravitaillement en vol de sorte que ce dernier nécessite moins de maintenance et puisse être rangé dans une disposition compacte, peu encombrante pour que ledit système de ravitaillement en vol puisse être transporté par différents avions-citernes dans plusieurs configurations différentes.
