Abstract
(EN) The invention provides a method and a system for manipulating an image displayed on a screen (11), where an operator uses e.g. a finger to identify a region of interest (ROI) without touching the screen (11). The spatial position of the finger relative to the screen (11) is detected, i.e. its x, y and z coordinates. A region of interest (ROI) on the screen (11) including the two coordinates (x, y) is selected, and an image property such as contrast in the selected region of interest is changed in dependence on the distance (z) of the movable object (13) from the screen (11). The invention is ideal for manipulating medical images such as X-ray images, but applications in consumer electronics are also conceivable where image processing is performed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé et un système destinés à manipuler une image affichée sur un écran (11), un opérateur utilise par exemple un doigt afin d'identifier une zone d'intérêt (ROI) sans contact avec l'écran (11). La position spatiale du doigt par rapport à l'écran (11) est détectée, à savoir ses coordonnées x, y et z. Une zone d'intérêt (ROI) sur l'écran (11) comportant deux coordonnées (x, y) est sélectionnée, et une propriété d'image tel qu'un contraste dans la zone d'intérêt sélectionnée est modifié en fonction de la distance (z) de l'objet mobile (13) de l'écran (11). L'invention convient particulièrement à la manipulation d'images médicales, notamment des images radiologiques, mais on peut également l'imaginer dans des applications d'appareils électroniques grands publics dans lesquels le traitement d'images est réalisé.
